Online Red Light District
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) recently approved the .xxx suffix for porn web sites. So, we'll soon have an organized red-light district online.
It's my understanding that the wholesale price of these domains will be around $60 a year, and registrars can set their own pricing. Lots of money in smut so, by all means, let's cash in.
What blew me away is that ICANN has already registered about 250,000 domains in anticipation, even before the approval!
If people would spend less time on porn sites and more time paying attention to what's going on in the world, maybe we wouldn't be about to outsmart ourselves right out of life as we know it.
Heads have to come out of the butts before we can stand up and say, “No!” (Double entendre intended.)

It was just a matter of time. I had actually considered, as a joke, to set up a site called hairy beavers.com and charge people $5.00 to look at pictures of wildlife. I thought it would be funny to see how much traffic it would get, but I decided that it was not going to be a good ROI. It would have been funny though just to see how much money could be made with this little idea. Who would complain about going to a perceived porn site just to see pictures of animals? I know I'd feel rather stupid.
